The earth and every part of the life form a complex system of interactions. Earth is more like life, and ecosystems are organisms. Changes in the Earth’s environment and species are natural selection within Gaia’s body. If people want to save the future of the planet and humanity, they need to consider the activities of all living things on the planet in their entirety rather than looking at it separately. The idea that the earth is alive can distract human beings from the perspective of self-interest alone. How we might view humans from a non-human’s perspective? we could change our attitudes towards non-human if we can empathize with them.
